Using Temp Mail

Is Temp Mail really free?

Yes. Creating an address, receiving mail, reading attachments and deleting the inbox cost nothing. There is no trial period and no account to maintain.

Do I need to sign up?

No. The address exists as soon as the page loads. There is no form, no password and no email verification to get started.

Can I send email from a temporary address?

No. Temp Mail is receive-only. It is built for confirmation links, verification codes and one-off notices, not for conversations or replies.

How long does an address last?

As long as you keep using it. Addresses stay available while they are active, and you can delete one at any moment. Once deleted, the messages are gone.

Can I choose my own address?

Yes. Type a name you like in the address field and confirm. If it is already taken, pick another or use the random option.

Why did a verification email never arrive?

Three common reasons: the sender blocks disposable domains, the mail was sent to a mistyped address, or the sender has a delivery delay of a minute or two. Try a different domain from the dropdown first.

Can I use it for banking or important accounts?

No. A temporary inbox is public by design and can disappear. Keep a permanent address for anything you need to recover, and never use a disposable address for money, work or government services.

Privacy and safety

Do you store my messages?

Messages are kept only so that you can read them. They disappear when the mailbox is deleted. We do not build profiles, and we do not sell data.

Are attachments supported?

Yes. Files that arrive with a message are listed under it with a direct download link. Very large attachments may be rejected by the sending server.

Is my temporary address private?

The address is not tied to your identity, but treat the inbox as public: anyone who knows the address can read what is sent to it. Never use it for password resets on accounts you care about.

Does Temp Mail work on a phone?

Yes. The interface is built mobile first and behaves the same on a phone, a tablet and a desktop. No app install is required.

How do I delete a mailbox?

Use the delete button in the address panel. The mailbox and its messages are removed immediately, and the address may become available to someone else later.

Can I use Temp Mail for testing my own product?

Yes, and it is a good fit: it lets you exercise a sign-up flow without polluting a real inbox. Do not point automated tests at a shared address, since anyone else can read it.

Do you show ads?

Yes. Ads keep the service free. They are placed in reserved slots and never cover the inbox. The site keeps working if you block them.
