Temp Mail for Reddit (2026)
Reddit requires an email address to create an account. They use it for verification, password resets, and notifications. If you want a burner Reddit account for browsing, commenting, or posting without linking your real identity, a temporary email address is the solution.
Step-by-Step: Create Reddit with Temp Mail
Step 1: Generate a Temp Address
Open Temp Mail and click "Create." Your inbox appears immediately.
Step 2: Sign Up on Reddit
Open Reddit, click "Sign up," and enter your temp email address. Choose a username and password.
Step 3: Verify the Email
Reddit sends a confirmation email. Watch your Temp Mail inbox — it refreshes automatically. Click the verification link or copy the code.
Step 4: Start Using Reddit
Your Reddit account is ready without your real email attached. Join subreddits, post, and comment anonymously.
Limitations
- Password reset: Reddit password resets go to the email on file. Delete the temp inbox, and you're locked out.
- Email verification: Some subreddits require email verification before you can post. Temp mail works for this.
- Two-factor auth: Reddit may offer 2FA with an authenticator app, which works independently of email.
Best Use Cases
- Throwaway Reddit accounts
- Browsing without linking your real identity
- One-time community participation
- Separating personal and throwaway accounts
